Stitching her dream
Suchitra Kushwaha (CH ID 187618)- is the sponsored child of the CFCA Delhi – ALD subproject. There are seven members in her family including her father Mr. Anand Kumar who is a tailor and mother Mrs. Geeta Devi who is a housewife. She has 3 sisters and 1 brother. Her brother is doing an ITI course. One of her sisters is married and two sisters are still studying. Suchitra’s father had a hard time arranging bread butter with his tailoring work. The sponsorship support helped her afford education bit by bit. The family saw a ray of hope. As growing up the biggest motivation she got was from her parents. She wanted to pursue her dreams but with economic constraints, it seemed very challenging.
After completing schooling from Umrao Singh school and Mary Wana Maker school further, she has done her graduation (B.A. Sociology) from the University of Allahabad and post-graduation (M.A. Sociology) from UPRTOU. She discussed her passion for fashion designing with her parents as a kid and got first hand stitching experience from her father. She even applied to a reputed fashion institute but the fee was too high so, her mother took a loan from her sponsored family group and submitted her course fee. She has completed her Postgraduate diploma in fashion designing from Ruchi Institute of creative arts, Prayagraj. Now she is trying to apply in dress designing hubs. She has a sewing machine of her father and she makes designer dresses and sells to her relatives and known people. Her father sews simple clothes but she sews designer dresses. In this way, she is generating a little bit of money. She is hopeful to get a job soon as now she doesn’t ask for pocket money from her family and her dream is able to support her siblings in pursuing their dreams too.
Passion and dedication
Ankit Pal -Child Id is 777607 is a sponsored member from ALD subproject. His father Arvind Pal, runs a small provisional store and his mother Mrs. Kiran Pal is a house wife. He has one elder brother named Avi Pal.
Ankit and his brother share a passion for sports but due to poor financial condition, parents wanted him to focus on study only as providing sports education costs extra money. In CFCA ALD subproject Ankit met with other youths playing table tennis. He and his parents got very inspired. Despite of the hardship, Ankit’s father enrolled him in a sports academy and Ankit selected table tennis and started playing when he was in class 4th. With his hard work he won many awards during inter school table tennis championship. After that he start playing for district level, state level and he is playing for national level table tennis championship. In 2017 he plays district level in Allahabad and won first prize after that in 2017 & 2018 he got chance to play in state level in Kanpur, Aligarh, Saharanpur and Varanasi city and won third and second prizes. After that he got golden chance to play for national level table tennis championship. On 2018 in Noida he won third prize and on 2019 in Bijnaur he won first prize. On 16 to 19 Jan’2020 in Aligarh he played for state level table tennis championship and won second prize. He is doing his all the efforts to fulfill his dream and living his passion.
